We’re regularly involved in the global generosity movement Giving Tuesday and we are the community leader of this event for the Pilsen Region.
What is Giving Tuesday about?
The campaign supports and celebrates the desire to help and do good deeds. Giving Tuesday takes place throughout the world on the same day. Anyone can take part in the campaign.
How do I get involved in Giving Tuesday?
Everyone has something to offer. You can devote your time, professional knowledge, money, big or small gifts, food, clothing or make someone happy. Just because.
Do you have an idea about how to help? Do you want to think up a shared challenge with your classmates for the University of West Bohemia’s students?
Let us know about your idea – we’ll be happy to support you!
What initiatives and ideas has Giving Tuesday supported?
We got involved in a Christmas gathering for the #nadřeň project, which helped the Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation.
We prepared an event where we tried out Plogging, an activity combining running and litter collecting.
We also hosted Enterprising Day for secondary schools with the goal of developing creativity among secondary school students, who founded their own companies under the supervision of professionals, including the development of a marketing and investment strategy.

The goal of our activities is to support sustainability and a responsible approach not only within our Center for Entrepreneurship and Sustainability, but also the whole Faculty of Economics of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen (ZČU).
We organize one-time events and meetings with environmental and social topics.
Our past events include:
The #LEPŠÍKVĚTEN (Better May) campaign, where we offered up a new method every week to help nature and the surrounding environment.
The Dobré nitro s Loono workshop, where we learned how to deal with psychological disorders like panic attacks and burnouts that might afflict us or our loved ones.
We also apply a responsible approach in our operation:
We’re reducing the amount of waste (single-use waste, plastic utensils and bottled water at conferences and public events).
We properly recycle waste in each of our offices and in all classrooms.
We mainly use fair-trade products.
We’re the holder of the Dopper Wave certificate. What does that mean?
Today’s world is full of plastic waste, which unfortunately ends up in the oceans and never completely degrades. Join the PET FREE pledge in cooperation with the Dopper Foundation and get rid of at least a portion of the plastic waste in your life.
Tap water is the best option. You’ll never find plastic bottles at any of our events.
Join us! It’s easier than you think.
